Jaymyn La Vallee is a a Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and Kwakwaka’wakw woman. She grew up in Xwmélch’tstn village (North Vancouver, BC). She is currently learning her Indigenous language and working on curriculum development with the Kwak’wala language.
