Memegwaans means little butterfly in Anishinaabemowin. Mem is from Sagamok Anishinawbek on her mother’s side and Montreal Lake Cree Nation on her father’s side. She grew up in Regina, SK where she got her first start in modelling at the age of 15 when she walked in Saskatchewan Fashion Week. Mem is currently studying law at UBC and also has a major in First Nations Studies.
